Kusanagi aims at optimizing rendering, compression, streaming, and display technologies in order to provide efficient remote rendering solutions for 2D & 3D content.
The applications addressed in the project are 3D gaming and 2D ultra high definition professional visualization.
The research work has started on the 16th of July 2009.
This video shows a demonstration of our reference remote gaming platform : four users play on the same server, the game is executed and rendered on the server, and the resulting video stream is sent to the players, who only run a video player on their machine.
